Thrilled to have hosted 28 bright 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year optometry students from SCCO’s Contact Lens Club yesterday for an engaging lab tour at Visionary Contact Lens! 🎉 It was a fantastic day of discovery and hands-on learning.
The students dove into the fascinating world of specialty contact lens manufacturing, witnessing the precision of our advanced lathes and blockers in action. They also got hands-on experience modifying and evaluating lens powers using the cutting-edge Rotlex Contest II, gaining invaluable insights into lens analysis.
Our “9 Things You Didn’t Know About GP Lenses” station sparked curiosity and expanded their knowledge of gas permeable lenses. And of course, no visit is complete without a little friendly competition! Brunch was served alongside a lively game of contact lens trivia, with a winning team crowned at the end. 🏆
